TIP 1 : 

Use a 2 factor authentication : 

This feature sends an OTP on your mobile phone after you enter your password.Helps to  protect your account, even if someone gets hold of your password.

click on gear button on top right corner ----Go to settings ---security and login --- use 2 factor authentication ---edit --get started ---enter your password ---mobile number ---follow the instructions --done.


TIP 2 :

Keep Your Mobile Devices Protected

No access to mobile means -- No access to Face book ----use a passcode or fingerprint to secure your mobile device . Use a App lock for Facebbok for additional security 


TIP 3 :

 Customize Your Facebook Privacy Settings

Keep your personal information private . By default, information such as your date of birth, location, and so forth are all accessible to Facebook users who do not even know you.

click on gear button on top right corner ----Go to settings ---Privacy ---- you can hide your friends list  , who can see your posts etc...

Use Secure Browsing

Secure browsing uses a HTTPS protocol along with lock sign to start . Browsing Facebook without an HTTP secure connection keeps your data open to attacks any time you use free wifi network

Only Add Real Friends

Many Facebook users are unaware of the dangers of accepting random friend requests. Becoming friends with somebody on Facebook allows the to access personal information about you, including your full name, location, place of birth, birthday ..

A hacker who gains access to your Facebook account will immediately have access to your registered email address. thus he can steal all your vital information

The Trusted Contacts feature, which asks you to select a small group of close, reliable friends. These friends will be your point of call in the event you can’t access your account, and your security questions have been changed, or have been forgotten. Facebook will then send different codes to these friends, which need to be put together to make one code, eventually granting you access to your account.

Avoid Spam Links & use a Strong password
